FREE or Discounted Courses to Take Advantage of During Self-Quarantine

Hey photo enthusiasts!

I hope everyone is staying safe during this crazy times. Not only are they crazy, but they are times that come with a lot of unknowns. I wanted to let the Digital World Beauty community know that I am here for you.

This situation is REAL and very uncomfortable, but unfortunately, it’s here and we have to deal with it.

The current pandemic and the stress it gives people worldwide is very different from being stressed about your school exam or failing your next job interview.

And let’s face it…

There will be some economic repercussions.

It is what it is. We cannot change the current reality but we CAN change our attitude towards it. So, instead of burning through this time watching TV and whining about the unemployment, get proactive!

Use this time use it to knuckle down and build new, healthy habits and skills.

Remember that the pandemic will be over but the skills you learn today can potentially help you make money tomorrow. YOU are in control of your life and how you spend your time.

And learning a new skill online is one of the best things you can do right now.

This being said…

Below I’ve compiled a list of the photography resources that are either FREE or offering special ‘stay-at-home’ discounts that you should take advantage of today.

Let’s get started, shall we?

Free Photography Resources

When the pandemic hit and people were forced to self-isolate, Nikon generously decided to allow everyone stream their classes for free. Take advantage of those! (Some classes seem to be general, so you can try checking those out even if you use a different camera brand.)

A lot of beginner and advanced photographers use Skillshare learning to learn new skills. Following this link, you’ll get 2 FREE months of unlimited classes (whether photography or anything else).

This is a new course I came across just recently and will be writing a review on in the near future. In the meantime, if you’re into mobile photography, this $67 is now a FREE video series that you can take advantage of.

This course is actually always free. It’s a nice little e-mail course if you’re a parent and would like some small but powerful tips on how to take better photos of your kids.

Special ‘Stay-at-Home’ Discounts

This is one of my most recommended courses for beginners. The Photography Pro team decided to extend their special 90% discount and I encourage you to grab it while it’s still available. Full review here.

If you’d like a review of ALL courses by Mark Hemmings, you can read it here. (Although, only one of the courses currently comes at a discount.)

This is Digital Camera Mastery’s sister course. And these guys decided to extend their special 90% discount on their bestseller iPhone photography course as well.

I have separate reviews of it that you can read here and here (a new one published on another site).

This is the one I mentioned in the free resources section. Mike also offers his flagship editing course for smartphone users for 75% OFF.

Only $35 USD, which is a steal!

So…

This is the list of useful photography resources/courses that I’ve gathered so far.

Please share in the comments if you know of any other awesome resource for our photography community!
